Triana Arnold James for Lieutenant Governor
About The Campaign......
Georgia holds a special place in my heart.
I grew up in the cities of Smyrna and Marietta in Cobb County. I attended Morris Brown College. I joined the United States Army where I served on Active Duty and in the Reserves. I returned home to the community of my childhood to give back. For a long time, I felt that my small town of Smyrna was being left behind in the progress of Cobb County. I worked tirelessly with Representatives, Police Departments, Community Leaders and others to ensure that Smyrna had its place on the map. I would like to continue that progress in moving forward as a diverse, working community that cares about its citizens. I want this not only for Smyrna but for the State of Georgia as a whole.
After much prayer and discussion with my husband, children, mother, and the rest of my family, I have decided to work toward becoming the next Lieutenant Governor for the State of Georgia, and I have officially filed my Declaration of Intent and am building my campaign.
I want to increase transparency and accountability, to increase take-home pay, to assure equal pay for equal work, to save our pensions, to maintain local control of our schools, to work with our farmers, to cut taxes, to reduce regulations, to restore constitutional rights (including gun-sense laws), and to make government effective and efficient. I am a candidate who has worked to pass several resolution bills related to HPV Awareness and Cervical Cancer Awareness.
During my reign as Mrs. Georgia, I worked across the aisle and around the State with Republicans and Democrats for Medicaid Expansion, to opening urgent care centers in South Georgia, to working with Department of Health and Human Services for medical services for impoverished communities.
Education, Healthcare, ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment, protecting Voting Rights, and securing Veteran Rights are pivotal platforms of my candidacy. I will work on the many issues that We The People care about. No more missing moments to building bridges. We must work together to restore faith in our leadership.
We need to embrace the diversity of all communities in the State of Georgia. I fully support and will fight for the rights of the LGBTQIA, women, veterans, immigrants, Georgians with disabilities, impoverished communities, small businesses, all races and religions.
I look forward to seeing each and every proud Georgian on the campaign trail and enlisting your help to move Georgia forward in a progressive manner.
God bless you and God bless the State of Georgia.
